Asia’s first sponsored Podcast?

Metropolis coverOK, so it’s probably not the first in Asia, but it’s the first mainstream sponsorship that I’ve spotted. According to the blurb from Japan’s Metropolis magazine, the 30-minute Podcast is the ‘coolest way to find out what’s going on this week in Tokyo.’ (although I’m not sure how excited I am about listening to their “Podclassifieds”!) The sponsor of the show? American Airlines. Not a company generally associated with bleeding-edge marketing, but hey…nice move AA.
