Does man create avatar in his own image?

Creating and living your own avatar identity is clearly addictive. Hence the millions that are now strapping on the virtual leather catsuits and defying the laws of digital gravity. It’s partly about exploring and trying out different identities. It’s partly the joy of anonymity. And perhaps it’s also partly about playing God.

But do we create avatars in our own image? This German site MeinBerlin shows Creator & Avatar side by side, so you can judge for yourself. Use the arrows top right to scroll through. Based on these examples, it seems most people do.
