From comes the disturbing news that in the USA women now outnumber men on the internet. And this time we’re talking users, not jpegs…..

Can anyone substantiate this?

… and here’s the downside of women’ increased Web use.

Trying to look at this dispassionately, the Web has been built on geekery and pornography, with a few sports results and car brochures thrown in for good measure. So with a greater gender balance among users, culture wars are inevitable.

Less dispassionately, the good guys will win only if women such as those featured in this article get the full support they deserve from Web site servers and bloggers.
